Not so much....

Although the initial idea seems pretty good, the writing is horrendous. The use of incorrect grammar just kills me and is really distracting and if I read "ugh" one more time, I think I'll scream. I had a hard time getting through the first book because the main character, Nathan, is such a self-involved boob and it's really hard to be sympathetic, but I gave the author a pass because it was a first book. So far, the second books is plodding along, speaks far too much about what the girls are doing with their hair, "ugh" seems to be the dialogue more often than not, and it's not, "the gig is up", it's "the jig is up". I think a lot of study about the English language and slang terms should be done by this author. He has some good ideas, it"s just the execution is horrible. Also, get an editor that will help you with this stuff. I also advise Steve to not give up on writing, but to educate himself a little more.

Action and Adventure!

I enjoyed the first book and I love the second. The second book has a lot more action in it and we really get to see the characters start to use their powers. The plot thickens and all the elements that I loved from the first book was in there; Nathan and his friends, magical powers, supernatural enemies, and eerie stories! The world of the legend of the firewalker is growing and with it we learn a lot more about the story behind the story and even a few surprises! If you liked the first book, you don’t want to miss out on the second one.
