About the Author
Krysti Brice, a graduate of New York University, is a former CPA and investment banker who began her career at Deloitte in New York City. In 1992, she moved to Prague where she continued her work at Deloitte as an adviser to the Ministry of Privatization. While in Prague, she joined the World Bank and was based in both Prague and Washington, DC. After several years in Washington, she returned to Prague in 2000, where she now works as an author, mentor and guide to the city.

Brilliantly helpful

I am an english woman who has lived in Prague for over 20 years. I downloaded this book for a friend visiting who was in Prague for the first time, and I felt too lazy to show them around.
I thought that it was absolutely brilliant, so very helpful as it can be quite baffling for a first time visitor. The information about travel is a godsend,you can find everything you need to know about the metro, tram and taxi services.
It is so useful to have a quick and concise list of the best shops you may wish to visit and having a list of the best restaurants is very important. We have so many new restaurants here and it is very easy to make an expensive mistake. Many places in Prague are expensive and the quality really does not live up to the prices, as they rely on the fact that they have a quick turnover of tourists. As I am a serious foodie I can confirm that all the restaurants mentioned really are excellent and I was excited to find that the author had got it spot on!
So, if you are still trying to decide whether to purchase or not . . .GO FOR IT!

Abundant information, very helpful

I live in Prague and bought this book for friends of mine who were visiting from the U.S. I am Czech and I have to say, I was impressed with this book. The author really knows some of the best places in Prague to eat and to find unique Czech gifts. Many of my favorite local restaurants are listed here, but I also learned of new places that are now on my list of favorites. It's a great value for the price, and it really was helpful in giving my visitors a unique experience.

Beat the tourist traps!

Thanks to Krysti Brice's book, I felt as if I was one step ahead of the game. Whether I'm choosing a restaurant, ordering a taxi or travelling to and from the airport, I hate the feeling that I'm falling into a tourist trap or being ripped off. With the practical tips from this common sense guide I felt that I was making sensible choices. It was like having a local alongside me, offering me advice and tips. For the first time I felt I could just relax and enjoy this wonderful city, without the stress of solving those mundane issues which can so often spoil a holiday.
