Even more comprehensive

Excellent update of an already useful book, now giving additional relevant laws.
You need to know your property rights and obligations are under Jalisco Condominium Law (JCL), which is written in Spanish of course. You also need to know what you are agreeing to when you purchase property and that your development’s condominium bylaws are superseded by JCL when there is a conflict. The development where I own property is now four years along in a dispute with the developer. This book has provided me with a clear understanding of what my property rights actually are. The only remedy for violations of these property rights is legal complaint, a lawsuit in the civil court.
Garry Musgrave’s other two books “Jalisco Condo Manual“ and “Guide to Buying Property in Mexico“ cover other aspects of property ownership in Jalisco, Mexico and are equally important to own and read.

A must-have book of condo law from the Jalisco Civil Code.

A good update with additional material over the first edition. An extremely important and helpful book if you are an owner of a condominium in Jalisco, Mexico. Through the use of this book I was able to override and correct erroneous language that had been fraudulently added to the English courtesy translation of our condo's Spanish-language bylaws by an owner who had created wording that benefited his and other larger condo units at the financial expense of the smaller condos. The publication contains Civil Code articles that should be a part of every condo's bylaws.

Finally Jalisco has laws that have teeth that pertain to managers. The new condo laws are so good for condo owners, don't expect your manager or attorney to recommend this book. You will discover that you don't need lawyers like you thought you did, you can easily do things yourself. The book is extremely well written and easy to understand, no condo in PV could possibly operate FOR the owners without it. A very small investment considering all you can benefit from having it.
